Autism is the most common condition in a group of developmental disorders known as the autism spectrum disorders (ASD’s). Autism is characterized by impaired social interaction, problems with verbal and nonverbal communication, and unusual, repetitive, or severely limited activities and interests.
The North Central West Virginia Autism Support Group meets every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Bridgeport Middle School. You can visit the website for changes and updates regarding the group at www.wvautism.com. You can also call Ginny at 842-3898 or e-mail her for answers to your questions.

The mission of the North Central West Virginia Autism Support Group is to provide families, parents, educators, health professionals and caregivers of children with Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Autism, and Developmental Delay with support, awareness and education.
